I have been working in the financial services industry for almost 40 years securing the financial future of my clients.  I began my career at Merrill Lynch in 1985, and Morgan Stanley thereafter, before making the transition from Wells Fargo Advisors and subsequently Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network. I have enjoyed building lasting relationships with my clients and providing solutions to the complex issues of investment planning.  I am focused on working with each of my clients to navigate through the more complex issues of investment planning.  My clients deserve to have success in their future retirement and estate plans, and I’m here to help ensure they receive the best care possible.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family.  My son, Justen, works alongside me here at Peritus Wealth Management, and my daughter, Jennifer, manages our guest ranch in Colorado-which we have owned for over 40 years.  Additionally, I enjoy traveling.

I have been working in the financial services industry for over 40 years. Originally beginning with Merrill Lynch and then spending from 2009-the present with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network. I work specially within Portfolio Allocations and competition and solve asset allocation problems my clients have. I know life is never easy and one must persevere through difficult times. With my background and experience, I am here to help my clients persevere through whatever life sends their way. Nothing is accomplished without hard work and dedication, which is why I dedicate myself to helping clients accomplish their financial goals.


Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, road bicycling, and attending events at The University of Alabama. I also enjoy spending time with my spouse Cindy and our children and grandchildren getting together at our lake house.

I’ve been working in financial services since 1991 while attending Samford University in Birmingham. My time working with finances has been going on since I was 12 years old, helping my family every month with our planning. While some might resent that, I never did. A passion for helping others and working with investment planning has been a pillar in my life for as long as I can remember. When working with me, a client knows I am researching to make the best choices for them and developing a distinct investment plan for each stage of my client’s life.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Tammy, and our five children. We love to travel and spend time as a family. I also enjoy golfing, Alabama athletics and being active members in our church.

I have been working in the financial industry since 2021.  Prior to becoming a financial advisor, I served in the United States Army that included two combat deployments in Iraq, one in Afghanistan in addition to being based in locations throughout the world.  Retiring after 20 years of service, my family and I moved back to Alabama from Germany.  I continue my dedication to service by providing a pathway for my clients to reach their financial goals.  When working with a client, I want to determine their true financial picture, establish their goals, and guide them through their decision making process.  I hope to help my clients find success and exceed their expectations as we create their investment plan.

Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling to new places with my family and various recreational activities.  I participate in several organizations, both national and local, that include Springville Area Rotary Club, Red Elephant Club-Tuscaloosa, Veterans of Foreign Wars, National Museum of the United States Army, and Alabama Rugby Foundation.
